CITY OF HOT SPRINGS: Hot Springs Fire Department has issued a burn ban

The Hot Springs Fire Department has issued a burn ban, effective at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 21, for the City of Hot Springs.

The ban is based on the potential fire hazard associated with current dry conditions and will remain in effect as long as these conditions are present.

The burn ban prohibits all controlled burning within city limits. All burn permits issued prior to the burn ban have been canceled; they can be reissued or extended when the ban is lifted.

Information on the burn ban status is available at 501-321-6977. The Solid Waste C.A.P.S. program is an available option to pick up yard debris for leaves and small limbs. To schedule a pickup, call 501-321-6921.
