Hot Springs World Class High School issued the following announcement on Mar. 12.
>Students and staff at the Hot Springs World Class High School were evacuated across the street from the high school this morning after receiving a call from 911 Dispatch regarding a bomb threat.
>Hot Springs Junior Academy students and staff were placed on lockdown.
>Officials with Hot Springs Institutional Law Enforcement and county safety officials completed a thorough check inside the building and of the outside perimeter.
>The threat was deemed unsubstantiated. The campus is safe.
>All HSWCHS students and staff returned to class without incident, and the lockdown for HSJA students and staff was cancelled. >Classes and daily routine have resumed as normal.

Update: Safety officials have checked the entire building and perimeter and determined there is nothing to substantiate the threat. The campus is safe. Students and staff are returning inside, now. Classes will resume as normal.
The Hot Springs World Class High School has evacuated students and staff members this morning after receiving a call from 911 Dispatch regarding a bomb threat. All students and staff members are currently safe, outside the building, and located a safe distance away from the school.
>Officials are investigating the situation, completing a perimeter check, and thoroughly searching the building.
