The US Economic Development Administration awarded Hot Spring County a grant worth $1,925,000 to help fund a project in Hot Spring County.

The grant was awarded on Sept. 27. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA investment funds improvements to the existing Industrial Park infrastructure, which is located within an Opportunity Zone in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. The project will provide excavation, a wastewater and drainage system, and site preparation for the attraction of new businesses. Once completed, the project will promote private investments, create jobs, and establish an innovative centric economy that will strengthen the region."
