ST. MARY OF THE SPRINGS CHURCH – HOT SPRINGS: St. John’s Charity Golf Tournament

This year marked the 14th year for the St John’s Charity Golf Tournament. $20,000.00 was raised for the St. John’s School Financial Aid Program. This tournament is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Councils in Hot Springs Village and Hot Springs. Even though it was a very hot day, there was an extremely large turnout of 128 generous players from all around the Central Arkansas area. Players thoroughly enjoyed the competition as well as the games on the course. The 1st Flight was won by the team of Bill Patterson, George Byrnes, Russ Harrison, Jim Yarberry. The 2nd Flight was won by Mike Webster, Steve Webster, Nathan Webster, Nick Webster. Winners of the 3rd. Flight were Jonathon Teel, Morgan McGough, Bill Sayles, Tony Scotty. Closest to the pins were won by Bill Gentry, Ben Loftus, Tom Conrad, and Jay Parsons with Mike Kerwin winning the closest to the line drive. Upon completion of play the golfers enjoyed a delicious catered barbecue lunch provided by Melinda’s of Hot Springs Village. The Knights of Columbus would like to thank all the golfers, volunteers and especially the generous sponsors for the enormous success of the 14th Annual St John’s Charity Golf Tournament. The biggest winner of the event was the St John’s School student financial aid program.
