St. Mary of the Springs Church – Hot Springs issued the following announcement on April 1.

The Office of the Ministry hispanic diocesan will sponsor its weekend of Youth Promotion Meetings #30 for young men between 18-27 years old at the San Juan Catholic Center in Little Rock from May 26th to 29th. The deadline to sign up is May 8th. The cost is $110. To attend, download and return the request.

Youth Promotions (EPJ) is a Catholic movement of young adults to evangelize their contemporary to accept the Gospel, live their vocation and assume leadership of Christian groups and communities. It’s based on the chair.

EPJ’s pedagogy privileges human and spiritual training, group work, community prayer, participation in the Eucharist, times of reflection and exchange of own experiences. EPJ announces and gives testimony to Christ, leading young people to the fundamental values of Christianity and helping them grow in faith.

EPJ was founded by Father José María Pujadas Ferrer in Medellín, Colombia in 1968. The Pontifical Council for the Laicos decreed the recognition of EPJ as an international association of pontifical right believers in 1996.

Today, the program is present in 14 countries including the United States. Emproista is the name given to a person who participated in an EPJ weekend. Each year the emproists celebrate December 9 as the International EPJ Day to commemorate the founder of the program, Father Pujadas, who passed away on December 9, 1984.
