Little Rock women’s golf placed four student-athletes on the All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) teams, including three on the First Team, as announced by the league on April 18. The selections come ahead of the conference championship at Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia.
The recognition highlights Little Rock’s strong performance this season. Junior Eleonore Aernouts and sophomores Iara Martin and Elvira Flodstrom were named to the All-OVC First Team, while sophomore Cloé Poizac earned spots on both the Second Team and All-Newcomer Team. Little Rock was one of only two programs to have three players named to the First Team.
Head coach Jenna Birch said, “This is a reflection of the work this group has put in all year. They’ve competed at a really high level against strong fields, and it’s great to see them recognized by the conference coaches. I’m really proud of how they’ve represented Little Rock.” Birch also noted that depth has been a key strength for her team throughout the season: “We’ve had different players step up at different times, and that’s what you need this time of year. We’re confident in our group.”
Aernouts led all OVC players in stroke average during the season and posted several top finishes for Little Rock. She said, “I’m really honored. It means a lot to be recognized by the coaches, especially with how strong our conference is. But for me, it’s about what we can do as a team this week. That’s the focus.” Martin credited teamwork for her success: “It’s special to be recognized, but it comes from what we do as a team every day,” she said.
Flodstrom expressed gratitude toward her teammates: “I’m really grateful,” she said. “This team has helped me so much, and we’ve built a lot of confidence together.” Poizac described her experience as positive so far: “I’ve learned a lot from my teammates and coaches. This recognition is nice, but we’re focused on competing this weekend and trying to win,” she said.
Looking ahead, Little Rock will compete in the 2026 OVC Women’s Golf Championship scheduled from Sunday through Tuesday.
