HOT SPRINGS WORLD CLASS HIGH SCHOOL: Trojan Seniors have received an Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy

0Comments

We are proud to announce that two Trojan Seniors have received an Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy following the Fall Semester: Cade Miller and James Wisener! *They are pictured here with HSSD International Baccalaureate Spanish Teacher Mr. Lunsford.

>The Seal of Biliteracy is a national certification that encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain, and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices. The Seal of Biliteracy becomes a permanent honor and skill placed on each student’s transcript.

>While all Biliteracy Seal programs are very similar according to state standards, our requirements at the HSSD include the following: 1) A proficiency level score in English on standardized tests required by the state of Arkansas for all students, and 2) A high score on an International Baccalaureate Language Test or Avant STAMP Language Proficiency Test
