Hot Springs World Class High School issued the following announcement on Dec. 7.
Our Tourism & Hospitality students toured local businesses to explore career opportunities within these industries and learn about day-to-day experiences from business owners. Students learned about marketing and promotion of brands, services, and events. They discussed payroll and taxes. They also were given general information about the challenges and benefits of being a small business owner.
>THANK YOU to all business owners and area entrepreneurs who hosted our students and took time to share experiences with them. >We also appreciate Mr. Bill Solleder with Visit Hot Springs, who provided a hands-on activity that allowed our kids to role-play as workers and owners in businesses modeled after those that they visited.
