Hot Springs World Class High School issued the following announcement on Mar. 18.

They (with our entire Trojan EAST Superbooth) received the “Tech in Action Award” at the Closing Ceremony today, from #EASTCon22.

>The #HSSD EAST Program hosted a Superbooth this year at #Eastcon22, including students and projects from our EAST Programs at Oaklawn STEM Magnet School, Hot Springs Junior Academy, and Hot Springs World Class High School. We are deeply proud of all projects completed by each team; students have worked all week to host the booth, AND to present their projects to Judges and peers from across the state and a handful from across the U.S.!

>At the EAST Conference Closing Ceremony, the #HSSD EAST Team took home a “Tech in Action” Award! This award is based on votes from conference attendees and the public for booths/displays, which include interactive displays of student projects.

>EAST stands for “Education Accelerated by Service and Technology.”

>EAST students work all year long with their Facilitators to create technology-based projects that benefit the community. The annual EAST Conference event allows them to gain skills in presenting, networking, and collaboration as they showcase their accomplishments and ideas.
