COMMUNITY OF JOY LUTHERAN CHURCH: GOD PAUSE for Sunday, March 20, 2022
0Comments

Community of Joy Lutheran Church issued the following announcement on Mar. 19.

My Song is Love Unknown (ELW 343, verse 2)

2 He came from his blest throne

salvation to bestow;

the world that was his own

would not its Savior know.

But, oh, my friend, my friend indeed,

who at my need his life did spend!

Devotion

There is tremendous power in God’s love through Christ. The presence of God in the flesh on this earth is breathtaking. Today, on the day of the spring equinox, we are reminded of the need for balance and the promise of life. The seeds we have planted need time to germinate in the dark, and it is the promise of light that pushes them into fruition. God sent Christ to the earth to create balance and promise life. My friend, this is good news for you, and it is good news for me. The seeds that have been planted were made possible through Christ. These seeds of hope, new life, grace, and love are abundant.

Prayer

God our gardener, thank you for tending to the seeds of our souls. Thank you for sending your Son to walk this earth so that we may have new life. In Christ, your Son, we pray. Amen.
