Champion Christian College issued the following announcement on Mar. 15.

Dr. Tao Chen has served in the business department of Champion Christian College since 2016, when he was introduced to the school by Pastor John Vaprezsan. He teaches business and economics courses and is also the lead faculty for the professional studies division.

Dr. Chen is uniquely qualified by his impressive background. His educational resume includes an MBA in Venture Capital and a Ph.D. in Management Science, both from Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China. For seven years, Dr. Chen taught courses at the Guangxi University of Finance and Economics in Guangxi, China, as well as served as a visiting professor at New York University’s Weissman Center for International Business. With over fifteen years’ business experience in China, Tao Chen is also a researcher focusing on international business, with an emphasis on FDI in emerging countries. He has been married to his wife Ting Wei since 2004, and they have two daughters.

With a passion for education and a heart for his students, Dr. Chen believes strongly in the mission of the college, reflecting on the Champion difference: “All of the Champion members are part of the ministry. We practice secular business under God’s guidance.” This is Dr. Chen’s last semester at Champion; he will be relocating to Texas to pursue another opportunity, and while we will miss him greatly, we have been truly blessed to serve alongside him. We thank him for his years of tireless and faithful service not only to the college but also and most importantly to the Kingdom of God, and we wish him all the best as he serves the Lord in his future endeavors.
