GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Truck Driver transports equipment and materials to job sites for street repair within the jurisdiction of the city.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transports various types of materials for street repair (asphalt, gravel, dirt, brush, etc.);
Transports heavy equipment to job sites as needed;
Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspection on a daily basis;
Operates jackhammers, ditching tools, chainsaws, and other small gas-powered machinery;
Spreads asphalt, concrete, etc. to insure a smooth finish on job completion;
Assists in clearing and disposing of weeds, brush and limbs that fall in the right of way;
Assists in the mowing of ditching and right-of-way’s;
Other duties as assigned.
